The Online Course Redesign Academy (OCRA) is built on the foundation of Quality Matters (QM)—a faculty-centered, peer-review process dedicated to improving online course quality.
This program uses nationally recognized best practices and the expertise of seasoned online instructors and instructional designers.
OCRA support ACC Distance Education courses meet high QM standards through a two-part training process:
- Attend a Apply the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) session
- Complete the course (re)design, development, and QM Review process with DL Instructional Designers
Applicant Prerequisites: Faculty who have already attended an OCRA/APPQMR training are not eligible to participate again. If you have previously completed the training and need to redesign another course, please contact your DL Instructional Designer or email [email protected].
Professional Development: 6 hours
To self-report credits, go to Workday > Profile icon > View Profile > Career > Training > Add Training
Stipend: $750 (Total)
Eligible faculty will receive a $750 stipend upon successful completion of the academy, including full attendance at the APPQMR training and completion of a course redesign that meets Quality Matters review standards (all Essential Standards and a minimum score of 85%).
