What Is ACC (QM) Certification?
Internal Quality Matters (QM) certification, provides faculty with an opportunity for their courses to be reviewed after completing a course design with a Digital Learning Instructional Designer.
Courses that meet internal QM expectations receive certification valid for 3 years, demonstrating a clear commitment to excellence in digital learning.
Types of Internal Certification
Initial Review
Through the Online Course Redesign Academy (OCRA), faculty work with a Digital Learning Instructional Designer to redesign their courses using Quality Matters standards. Upon completion, courses are submitted for an internal peer review. Courses that meet all Essential Standards and earn a minimum score of 85% receive internal certification valid for three years.
3-Year Recertification
Courses that have earned initial certification, undergo a peer review every three years to ensure they continue to meet Quality Matters standards. Faculty work with a Digital Learning Instructional Designer to review and update their courses before submitting them for internal peer review. Courses that meet all Essential Standards and earn a minimum score of 85% receive renewed internal certification valid for another three years.
