Enhancing Accessibility with Blackboard Ally & ADA Principles
Come to this two-hour training to learn how to fix your documents after Ally has flagged them. The first hour of this presentation will feature a live demonstration of Ally and the use of accessibility checkers across various platforms.
In the second hour, participants can ask accessibility-related questions and engage in hands-on activities with their courses. (Please note that the second hour is optional.)
We will show you how to:
- Use Blackboard Ally to determine accessibility status
- Download and upload documents to Ally
- Use accessibility checkers in applications to fix documents
- Compare usability to accessibility
- Recognize the most common disabilities at ACC
- Understand faculty responsibility for students who need accommodations
- Explain why using ADA principles is important at ACC
